From Marine Waste to Ice Scrapers — Just One Step at Plastic Billat
By developing a 100% recycled product line made from marine waste — specifically discarded fishing nets — we aim to contribute daily to protecting our planet and environment by promoting a circular economy. We want to show that plastic is not an ultimate waste material, but a recyclable resource.
The material is made from fibers sourced from the maritime industry, such as fishing nets. These nets are collected, sorted, and separated into various types of plastics and colors. Once sorted, the material is ground, washed, separated, and finally dried. It is then recomposed and extruded into a new recycled material known as pellets.
